The New Baby Club is a relaxed, nurturing postnatal group created especially for new parents and their babies (from birth to 1 year). Hosted by Esthea, The Country Midwife, this fortnightly gathering is a chance to connect with other local mums, share the highs and lows of new parenthood, and ask questions in a supportive, judgement-free space.

Whether you had your baby last week or months ago, whether you’re breastfeeding, bottle-feeding or a bit of both, whether you arrive in a blur of sleep deprivation or with a batch of flapjacks to share – you are so welcome here.

Who is it for?

• First-time mums and experienced ones too

• Parents with babies aged from birth to 1 year

• Anyone looking for community, support, and a warm cuppa

• Those navigating the ever-changing first year and wondering, “Is this normal?” (Spoiler: probably yes!)

 

How does it work?
 

The group meets fortnightly in lovely locations around Bath – think cosy cafés, sunny parks, and welcoming community spaces. All locations are pram-friendly and chosen with naps, feeding, and snack breaks in mind. Each month includes:

• One free Café Connection morning – an informal drop-in meetup with no ticket required

• One paid postnatal event – a relaxed gathering which includes guest speakers, expert Q&As and nourishing support tailored to the early months of parenting.

How much does it cost?
 

The Café Connection mornings are free.
Our monthly paid events are low-cost, and tickets can be bought via the website. We keep costs down to ensure the group stays inclusive and accessible for as many parents as possible. If finances are a barrier, please don’t hesitate to reach out – we’d much rather you came along than missed out.​
